The eco-design : Closing the loop through better design, protecting natural resources, making the most of each fibre, reducing waste and pollution through circular solutions. We take into account the complete life cycle of each of our products.
The ecological impacts: we ensure an efficient energy policy at each of our sites.
Our labels : MPO is certified Imprim'Vert and FSC-CoC® and each of our papers is FSC-certified.
The waste management : we optimise the day-to-day sorting and management of our waste on a daily basis.
The responsible purchasing : we collaborate with partners and suppliers who respect environmental standards.
In order to guarantee their commitment, we have drawn up an Ethics Charter dedicated to our suppliers.
Social inclusion
MPO favours collaboration with structures that promote the work of people with disabilities.
In this way, MPO is increasing the integration of employees from ESATs (Institutions and support services through employment) on its production sites.
24 employees from ESAT* are regularly present on our sites.
The development of employees
In order to make each of its employees a real key player in its success, MPO has decided to reinforce staff training.
Since 2018, local managers have benefited from a 10-day qualifying training course.
In addition, MPO is planning to set up a training plan in 2020/2021 for our core businesses (technical and packaging).
And because every human being represents a real potential, MPO has been committed since 2018 to implementing a participatory management system based on autonomy and accountability.
In our workshops, we develop Participatory Visual Management (PVM), an essential tool linked to the practice of Lean Management. This initiative allows us to develop employee involvement through participative decision-making.
Health and Security
MPO ensures an occupational health and safety management policy through various actions such as :
The delivery of a safety booklet as soon as you join the company.
Training, with nearly 5,000 hours of safety training provided for 450 people since 2014.
Risk management with an MSD - Musculoskeletal Disorders risk prevention approach.
The implementation of a Health and Safety management tool.
The DUER (Single Risk Assessment Document) and the analysis of incidents and accidents and safety dashboards.
M/F equality at work
In order to ensure gender equality, MPO has put in place a company agreement signed with the social partners. In 2018/2019 the Gender Equality Index within MPO is 85/100.
The integration of the young generations
The recruitment and the training policy is based on the welcoming of trainees and work-study students in order to enable the younger generations to ensure their professional integration.
In 2020, MPO welcomed 18 work-study students and 42 trainees.
Social policy
A collective statute has been built around company agreements negotiated and signed by the social partners.
This is based on constructive social dialogue.
The development of national and local employment
MPO is maintaining its employment in the countries where the Group operates: France - Spain - Germany - England - Portugal.
In France, MPO has been established in Mayenne for more than 60 years. We are present in two communes of the Mont des Avaloirs Community of Municipalities. With nearly 400 employees or temporary workers, MPO represents 30% of industrial employment and 9.5% of salaried jobs in the CCMA. The Group thus maintains employment in a Rural Revitalisation Zone characterised by a very low population density.
- Encouraging local actors
Each year, MPO strengthens its ties with schools in the western sector.
In 2020, the group will be working with around twenty schools located in this sector for work-study contracts and internships.
